Open AI, the makers of ChatGPT, has launched a new web browser. Called ChatGPT Atlas, the browser builds on the capabilities of ChatGPT. The company describes the new web browser as a browser for the next era of the web. What’s even more useful is that Atlas Browser allows users to chat directly with web pages, search, and perform some online tasks with the help of an AI agent.
Atlas is available on Mac OS first. It will soon be available on Windows and mobile platforms. Agentic capabilities are currently only available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro customers. The new browser aims to make browsing more personal and productive, said Sam Altman, head of Open AI. ChatGPT will also be able to understand users’ interests and find what they want on the Internet.
